Wow. This project 365 is such an admirable goal to accomplish with the big girl camera. What a treasure these will be at the end of the year. I just scrolled through all of your 365 photos so far and they are beyond beautiful. Love them ALL!

Beautiful pictures! Love the one on the bike the most! What kind of camera/lens do you use to capture everyday moments? I’m working in getting better pictures of my kids doing everyday things! :)

I use the Canon 5d markii and almost always my 35mm 1.4

project 365…week two

Another week down.  This one was a lot more challenging.  It was a darrrrrrrrk, gray week here and when the sun (which was somewhere behind that thick grayness) is setting at 4:30ish- pm,  your window of light is real slim.  Hence the reason for lots of photos of my sweet kindergartner.  She gets out of school during the right light;)

ava’s minnie birthday

Ava turned 6 last month.  Six.  My baby is six.  Say it ain’t so.  Months before her special day she told me she wanted a Minnie Mouse party and a chocolate cake with pink frosting and white polka dots.  And that’s exactly what we did.   I wasn’t able to get a ton of photos.  I now know why people hire photographers to photograph their parties.  It’s a little tricky trying to hold a camera and help 7 girls with their paint brushes;)  It was fun, and when it was done I was tired. ha!

And we can’t forget about this pretty girl…storyboard015

You can just call me a really good planner, to not only have had one baby in December, but two!:)  My sweet Stella also had a birthday.  She’s now 11.   I’m not sure how that’s even possible when I’m still 20;) She told me, “mom, let’s not plan anything, we’ll just play games.”  I like the way she thinks.

Baby girl stop growing! But dang, she’s cute! And that Stella… so pretty! Good job mama!

Kirra Sue - January 6, 2014 - 8:42 pm

project 365

One of my goals this year is to take a photo every day with my big camera.  Too often I find myself only taking photos of my family with my phone.   I was greatly inspired by my friend, Rosie, of Simply Rosie Photography, and her 365 project she just completed.  I’ve made it 5 days so far.  It might be a miracle if I make it all 365, but I’m gonna give it my best.  I can just imagine the feeling of accomplishment when the year is up and I’ll have a photo to look back on from each day.  The years go by so fast, I want to make time stand still and taking photos is the closest thing to making that happen.

Those iPhone cameras are just so easy! I am going to attempt my big camera each day this week…maybe the rest of this month :)
Thanks for the inspiration!

Ooooooh yes! Can we go back to blogging? I miss it! Insta is fun but just not the same. What a weird age we live in when blogging is a thing of the past.
